A garage in Woodley sold for more than three times its guide price at auction last week.
The vacant, single lock-up garage in Ravensbourne Drive, which was auctioned by Essex based Auction House London, achieved a hammer price of £17,000, plus fees.
The leasehold property was listed as being held on a 999-year lease from June 24, 1994, meaning there is 970 years unexpired at a peppercorn ground rent.
The listing described the property as “.. situated on a residential road, close to local shops and amenities.
“The open spaces of Woodford Park are within easy reach.
“Transport links are provided by Earley rail station.”
