THE principal of Reddam House says he is immensely proud of his Year 11 students as they collected their GCSE results.
Pupils at the Sindlesham school – formerly Bearwood College – saw 50% of the grades rated 7-9.
Just under a third – 31% – were grades 8-9, and 14% were grade 9.
Rick Cross said: “Following on from our excellent A level results a week ago, I am immensely proud of our 2023 GCSE students who have achieved outstanding results this week, with 14% achieving Grade 9, 31% achieving grades 8-9 and 50% achieving grades 7-9 (equivalent to grade A*-A).
“These grades are more than twice the national average.”
He continued: “Their character and determination to succeed can be seen across the subject range, from sciences to drama, languages to the arts and humanities.
“They have embodied our school values throughout the year with their ambition and resilience and have now been justly rewarded.
“I look forward to welcoming them back to start their A levels next week.”
