A WOKINGHAM United Charities (WUC) grant can help children from lower income households access extracurricular activities.
WUC is keen to help disadvantaged youngsters to access activities their families would not otherwise be able to afford.
Its Bright Futures Fund can support the costs of a wide range of extracurricular activities, including school trips, club memberships, sports equipment, instrument rental purchase and participation fees.
Families seeking support are encouraged to ask their school or club to apply for a grant on their child’s behalf.
Schools, alternative educational providers, youth groups, sports clubs and relevant local charities can all apply.
Referring agencies need to undertake financial due diligence and commit to completing a monitoring report upon conclusion of the grant project.
