A CONCERT of sparkling jazz from legendary orthopaedic consultant surgeon-turned saxophonist Art Themen will raise money for people in need this Christmas.
The renowned musician has played alongside countless jazz legends, including Philly Joe Jones, George Coleman, Charlie Parker’s alumni Red Rodney and Al Haig, Thelonious Monk’s regular saxophonist Charlie Rouse, Bud Shank, Nat Adderley, and Scott Hamilton.
He has also accompanied artistes Mick Jagger, George Harrison, Rod Stewart, Jack Bruce, Chuck Berry, Alexis Korner and Bing Crosby.
A Special Christmas Concert featuring Art Themen & Friends will raise funds for Wokingham in Need.
The event will take place at the Whitty Theatre, on Tuesday, December 16.
Doors open at 6.30pm with the music beginning at 7.30pm.
