RESIDENTS can get things fixed for free by expert menders.
Spencers Wood Repair Cafe has a team ready to give a new lease of life to broken household and garden items.
All items saved, says the group, will help reduce the amount of waste going to landfill.
The cafe will accept all sorts of items for repair, including broken china, toasters, and toys.
A friendly welcome is assured, and refreshments are available.
There is no charge for fixing, but the group gratefully accepts donations.
Repairers can help with clothing alterations, bike mending, and tool sharpening.
They can also fix lawn mowers, vacuum cleaners, jewellery, ceramics, household mechanical and electrical items.
The repair cafe meets at Lambs Lane Primary School on the third Sunday of each month.
The next event is on Sunday, January 18.
Doors are open from 10am until 1pm.
