RESIDENTS can take items to be fixed for free by expert menders.
Spencers Wood Repair Cafe has a team ready to give a new lease of life to broken household and garden items.
They will accept all sorts of items for repair, including broken china, toasters, and toys.
They even have a volunteer able to use a 3D printer to help repair items.
The group meets regularly on the third Sunday of each month.
There is no charge for fixing, but the group gratefully accepts donations which help with running costs, and enable the team to carry out workshops to engage children in the repair ethos.
The next event is at Lambs Lane Primary School, on Sunday, July 21.
Doors are open from 10am until 1pm.
