FORGET the van parked in a lay-by, a restaurant coming to Bracknell is looking to reinvent the humble kebab.
A new branch of German Doner Kebab (GDK) is to open at The Lexicon later this month, bringing with it a new take on the popular cuisine.
For those who can’t wait, there is already a branch in Reading’s Friar Street.
The company says it serves kebabs made using premium, lean, succulent meats and fresh local vegetables, served in handmade toasted bread with its own recipe sauces. Each is prepared in front of customers.
The new store, next to Costa in Bracknell’s High Street, will create 40 jobs.
It will be a restaurant for people who want to eat-in, while people can also order takeaways and use click and collect systems. Home delivery will be available in due course.
Daniel Bunce, GDK Global COO, said: “We’re delighted to officially announce plans to bring the German Doner Kebab experience to Bracknell.
“Our game-changing kebabs are revolutionising the kebab in the UK and we are excited to be bringing our fast-casual dining experience to the local area, offering great-tasting fresh food in a relaxed and modern setting.”
Once opened, German Doner Kebab will offer its customers a full Dine-in experience, as well as Takeaway and Click and Collect. Delivery will soon be available through GDK’s Delivery partners.
