A WOKINGHAM horticultural business is planning more of its series of Create and Grow sessions for children.
Squire’s Garden Centre Wokingham’s creative events are popular with youngsters.
In October they will be able to enjoy some spookily creative activities, including painting a tea light holder and following a free Witches Trail.
Sarah Squire, chairman of Squire’s Garden Centres, said: “We’re delighted to be able to offer families a fun, themed activity to look forward to over the coming October half-term.
“This is always a particularly popular week for families to visit.
“Children enjoy visiting our centres, with the opportunity to dress up and get into the spirit.
“The tealight holder activity will allow young children to use their imagination, creating something unique and that they can be proud of as well as enjoy at home, lighting up the darker evenings ahead.”
Squire’s says the event is the perfect way to fill an October half term morning with some entertaining, creative craft activities which include painting a spooky tree or witch’s hat ceramic tealight holder.
Once finished, these can be taken home along with a complimentary battery-operated LED tealight.
Painting activities last approximately 20 minutes, with each ceramic tea lighter costing £6.50.
A free Witches Trail enables children to follow clues around the centre to discover a magic word, and to receive a sticker upon on completion.
Refreshments for hungry crafters and their adults are available to buy from the garden centre’s cafe bar, including light bites for youngsters from its Little Gardeners’ menu.
Fancy dress wear is welcomed.
Create & Grow Spooky Half Term Activities can be enjoyed at Squire’s Garden Centre, Heathlands Road, Wokingham, each day from Monday through to Friday, October 28 to November 1.
Activities take place from 9.30am until 1.30pm, with advance booking required for the craft, but not for the Witches Trail.
