THEY were queuing out of the door, and all for a sausage roll – not what you’d usually find in a bookshop.
To celebrate the success of the event, social media stars LadBaby – aka Mark and Roxanne Hoyle –created a video they shared across the internet to show what happened when they came to Reading.
On Saturday, the couple were in Waterstones to sign copies of Greg The Sausage Roll: 12 Days of Christmas, a new board book aimed at younger readers.
So many people wanted to meet the couple and share their sausage roll related tales the queue went from the store and up Broad Street, making it one of the biggest signings the bookshop has ever held.
In their video, the Hoyles expressed their appreciation for so many people turning out.
“Thank you so much,” read their closing caption, while the video description said it has been an ‘amazing’ signing.
It was not the only signing to have taken place at the Broad Street store last week.
On Thursday, November 16, they welcomed authors Bea Fitzgerald, Alexandra Christo and Annaliese Avery for a discussion about the Dark Mythology and fantasy novels in the range.
