Binfield’s winless run extended to six matches after a late own goal from captain James Knight handed a point to Virginia Water at Hill Farm Lane.
The Moles looked set for a precious victory on Monday evening thanks to Jemel Johnson’s first-half strike, only for Knight to turn into his own net deep into second half stoppage time as the game ended level.
Having conceded 13 goals in their previous three matches, including Saturday’s 6-3 loss at Bishop’s Cleeve, Binfield made two changes with Chris Grace returning in goal while Liam Baker replaced Jeff Brown.
The first half looked to be passing goalless between the two mid-table Hellenic Premier sides, until the hosts won a penalty which Ian Davies blazed over the crossbar.
However, the Moles did get in front moments later when Johnson fired in his seventh goal of the campaign.

Binfield stayed on top in the second period, but missed chances to close out the victory.
It appeared those misses would not prove costly, until the third minute of stoppage time when a ball into the box was flicked on by a Virginia Water defender and turned in by Knight as the spoils were shared.
“Lost for words,” said Moles manager Roger Herridge.
“Let’s see what Saturday brings. Important not to get too carried away with the highs or too down with the lows.”
Binfield, who sit 12th in the table, host eighth-placed Lydney Town on Saturday (3pm).
