Thames Valley law firm Blandy & Blandy has celebrated the imminent opening of its new office in Wokingham town centre.
Speaking at a well-attended event at The Rose Inn, Cllr Stephen Conway, leader of Wokingham Borough Council, welcomed the firm to Wokingham.
He said: “I’m particularly pleased to see a company with a strong record, over many years, of engagement with the local community.
“Wokingham will benefit not just from the presence of a firm of long-established and highly regarded solicitors, but also from a community-minded business, willing to play its part in supporting local charities and initiatives designed to improve the quality of life in Wokingham.”
The new office at 5 Market Place, opposite Wokingham Town Hall, is set to open in mid-October.
The firm will provide a full range of legal services to private and commercial clients in and around the borough, where many of its clients are already located.
Nick Burrows, partner and chairman, said: “We believe that Wokingham is an excellent place to do business and, as a good number of colleagues will attest to, to live.
“We are delighted to be joining the professional and wider community in Wokingham, in support of our continued growth and to allow us to best serve the needs of both new and existing clients in the borough and surrounding areas such as Bracknell.
“Thank you again to those who joined us at our event – we look forward to working more closely with everyone and to being able to contribute to Wokingham’s success story over the coming months and years.”
Blandy & Blandy has celebrated its 290th anniversary this year, and is recognised as a top tier firm in both of the UK’s leading guides to the legal profession, Chambers UK and The Legal 500.
