Wokingham borough council has confirmed that a zebra crossing close to the town centre has been earmarked for repainting.
A reader contacted Wokingham Today to express concerns about state of the pedestrian crossing on Easthampstead Road, close to Wokingham fire station.
The reader said the issue was reported to the council in December, and thet were told it would be re-painted when the weather was more suitable.
The reader said: “ There are hardly any road white lines, and in the rain none at all can be seen.
“It’s just so dangerous .. it is absolutely lethal to keep leaving it as it is.
“This crossing is used by many school children, and should be clearly visible before there is an accident.
A spokesperson for Wokingham borough council told Wokingham Today: “The crossing was added to our repainting list after inspection last week.
“We do not have an exact date but it will be part of our next batch of white line painting.”
