A CHARITY created by a Wokingham woman is urging people to sign up to its major fundraising event next month.
The 26th MoonWalk London will take place from 9pm on Saturday, May 18, through to 1pm on Sunday, May 19, and raise funds for the work of Walk the Walk.
Starting from Clapham Common, the event will see thousands of people wearing brightly decorated bras walk the streets of London overnight to help people living with cancer.
The MoonWalkers will include Walk the Walk Ambassador and EastEnders actor Harriet Thorpe.
There are two routes, a full moon of 26.2 miles, and a half moon plus walk of 15.1 miles.
It is also possible to carry out virtual walks for those who want to take part but can’t get to London.
Since the first event was held in 1998, Nina Barough’s charity has raised more than £140 million, and they are hoping to add to that total this year.
