Woodley Town Council has applied for permission to extend the use of its all-weather football pitch.
The pitch at Woodford Park in Haddon Drive is currently allowed to operate from 8am until 9pm between Monday and Saturday, and from 9am until 8pm on Sundays and public holidays.
The submission to Wokingham Borough Council was made on January 29, and a consultation remains open until February 19.
The application said: “We wish to extend the operating hours of the pitch by half an hour on certain days of the week in order to accommodate more organised bookings for the local teams.
“This will increase capacity to accommodate the expanding younger age group teams, and for development of the ladies teams.
“The request has come from the local teams and is supported by the Football Foundation.
“We wish to increase the operating hours of the 3G pitch on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays to 9.30pm All other operating hours remain unchanged.”
