TWO budding borough musicians hope their new online service will be a smash hit.
Kirsty Trice and Simon Williams aim to have local people singing from the same songsheet.
And the duo believe the idea will be top of the podcasts.
The pair sing and play in two very different bands around Wokingham and the south east.
But as well as hosting open mic nights, Kirsty and Simon want to help musicians across the borough.
They have launched a podcast for anyone involved in performing or going to hear bands which is crammed with ideas and advice.
“The popularity of podcasts is rapidly growing and probably far outstripping the growth in music downloads or the amount of people attending live gigs,” explained Simon.
“There is such a massive musician community and live music community in Berkshire that we are tapped into and we suddenly realised that we were all having the same issues, experiences, funny things happen to us.
“If they make us laugh we think there’s a good chance it will make you laugh also, whether you are musician or not.
“So we have deliberately based the podcasts around the local music scene in terms of anecdotes but we keep it very non-musician non-geeky because we want it to appeal to everyone and it seems to be working well.”
