WOKINGHAM Borough Council is offering residents an opportunity to make a positive impact on the environment through their choice of energy provider.
It has teamed up with Switch Together, a company that uses Group-Buying to help people benefit from 100% renewable energy, with fixed tariffs to help them take control of their costs.
Group-Buying enables households to join forces, with suppliers competing for their business.
Switch Together handles the process so that residents can make a positive change without having to shop around.
Finding a competitive energy tariff while being conscious of our impact on the planet can be tough and time-consuming, says Wokingham Borough Council.
Through the Switch Together scheme, the council says that families will be able to get a fair, and predictable rate for 100% renewable electricity, effortlessly.
Through previous rounds of this scheme, run by iChoosr, it says it has been able to save 370 tonnes of carbon dioxide, as well as helping residents to make savings on their energy bills.
Registration is quick, free and with no obligation to go ahead with a personalised offer.
Suppliers compete to offer the most competitive fixed-rate tariff for the household, with the resident receiving a clear, personalised offer, showing how much they could save with the new tariff.
Having reviewed their offer the householder can decide, without any pressure to do so, whether they want to switch.
The deadline to indicate interest is Friday, May 15.
