A new business that prides itself on providing learning through play for children aged from three months to five-years-old has opened in Wokingham.
Town mayor, Cllr Rob Comer, and Cllr Adrian Mathers cut the ribbon to perform the opening ceremony last month.
The nursery, which provides 73 childcare places, is also providing career opportunities for the area, and is actively recruiting staff members.
Dilpreet Singh, owner of Monkey Puzzle Wokingham, said: “It has felt like a dream come true.
“I have always had an interest in education, back at home, as a child there was always a lack in teaching subjects, like Literacy.
“A few years ago, during the adoption process with my son, the local agency suggested to spend some time with children in a nursery.
“After only a few visits to the nursery settings, immediately I knew this is what I can do and would love to do.
“I found the biggest challenge in early years was the staffing, but I am prepared to bring a change in this industry, and I want to ensure more people are inspired to work within the early years sector.
“My goal is to attract more people to work in this sector, and to support the fantastic team at Monkey Puzzle Wokingham on their career journeys.
“We have a very experienced and versatile team to provide high-quality care to Wokingham families.”
The nursery, which is registered with Ofsted, is open from 7.30am until 6.30pm, Monday to Friday, for 51 weeks per year.
With more than 60 childcare settings nationwide, Monkey Puzzle Day Nurseries is the third largest childcare provider in the UK.
