Work has begun on a multi-million pound restaurant and bar that is set to open in Crowthorne early next year.
The independent family-owned brewer Hall and Woodhouse is to deliver an innovative two-storey restaurant and bar for up to 150 seated covers.
The new establishment will also create 40 full-time jobs for the local community.
H&W Crowthorne will be a gateway building to the new residential estate, Buckler’s Park, near to Buckler’s Forest, a 102-hectare Forestry Commission site.
The purpose-built restaurant and bar will include five multi-functioning spaces for guests to enjoy, whatever the occasion.
These will include a dedicated bar, a pantry/café for coffee and cakes,, a vibrant dining space, an extensive outdoor terrace, and a large attractive garden.
Mark James, property director of Hall & Woodhouse, said: “At Hall & Woodhouse we are driven by innovation, and our aim is to create a building of real quality.
“We are so passionate about providing a warm, welcoming offering that reflects the local environment and its heritage.
“Similar to our plans for the building’s exterior, the restaurant’s décor will take inspiration from its surroundings.
“Guests can expect to see plenty of green throughout the building.
“We will have lots of plants, stylistic artwork, colourful soft furnishings, and exposed brick walls.
“Hall & Woodhouse Crowthorne will have a contemporary style, but with a warm feel and lots of colour and character.”
The state-of-the-art building will have a steel structure with a mixture of brick, timber panelling and glazing that complements the locality.
Solar roof panels will be installed to generate enough green energy to run the building’s heating system.
The building will also feature LED lighting, sustainable waste disposal, upcycled materials and furniture, and plenty of outdoor bike parking.
