Emergency services were called to an incident in Rose Street, Wokingham, on Tuesday evening.
A spokesperson for Thames Valley Police told Wokingham Today: “We received a report from the fire service at around 7pm to an establishment on Rose Street, Wokingham, about a man who was threatening emergency workers with knives.
“A 34-year-old man from Ascot was arrested for two counts of common assault on emergency workers.
“Before being taken into custody, he was admitted to the Royal Berkshire hospital for checks on his wellbeing.
“He has since been released on police bail until January 10, 2024.”
