MAX Hayman was chosen as Players’ Player of the Year as Rams RFC held their end-of-season awards night.
The ever-present hooker, who played all 26 games as his side finished runners-up in National One, was also the league’s top try-scorer and made it a treble celebration when picking up the Tackling Trophy for the second year in a row.
Dan Swain was chosen as the Captain’s Player following a tremendous campaign in the second row, while fly-half Fraser Honey was the Coaches’ choice after joining Hayman as the only two to start every game in his maiden campaign at Old Bath Road.

The Titans’ (2nd XV) Players’ Player gong went to Mikey Duda, the young flanker having progressed from the 4th XV the year before to making a try-scoring first-team debut against Richmond, with another dynamic prospect, prop Terrel Harry, taking the Coaches’ award.
The Louie Batchelor Memorial Trophy for Coaching was scooped by Colts’ gurus Dave Cox and Glyn Mosses, the duo having overseen a run to the semi-finals of the National Cup and an unbeaten OBB Division One title-winning season.
Cox also led the first-team opposition analysis and Mosses played a key role with the Titans and Senior Squad forwards.
Fixtures secretary and Friday Club member George Nattriss, involved at Rams since 1968, won the Bill Taylor Memorial Trophy for Club Contribution, while the Hutchinson Frost Memorial Award for Young Clubman of the Year went to Theo Pett-Ridge who was part of the successful Colts team and also contributed as an assistant referee.
Honours Caps were presented to the long-serving Andy Anderson, another member of the Friday Club which keeps the ground looking its best, and scrum-half Ollie Cole, who reached a century of first-team appearances.
The Chairman’s Award was won by outgoing President Ian Duncan, stepping down from the role after more than 30 years.
