Reading FC has confirmed that club owner Dai Yongge is ‘in talks’ with Wycombe Wanderers FC regarding teh sale of Bearwood Park.
After announcing just a few days ago that they were open to offers regarding the sale of the training ground, it now appears that a deal with Wycombe is close to being finalised.
Cihef executive Dayong Pang said: “”Whilst an agreement is not yet finalised, both parties will move forward with the process exclusively.
“The proposed transaction will directly support the short-term funding of the club until a full sale can be concluded. Further updates, including possible options for an alternative training facility, will be communicated when appropriate.”
The Royals moved from their old base at Hogwood Park to Bearwood Park during the 2019/20 season.
It has been reported that Dai Yongge will receive around half of the fee that paid for Bearwood. Dai Yongge spent more than £50million on the development of Bearwood.
