Reading FC protest group has reacted with a statement after Ruben Selles departed the club on Friday to join Hull City.
The Royals announced that Noel Hunt has been appointed as the new first-team manager following Selles’ decision to join the Championship side.
Hunt got off to a positive start with a 1-1 draw against League One leaders Wycombe Wanderers.
Taking to X, formerly known as Twitter, Sell Before We Dai said: “Another emotional week for Reading fans which ends with our manager departing.
“What was Rubén told about the state of the club that led him to leave? Was it the lack of assurances about a buyer? Was it the likelihood that Dai and his cronies are going to have a fire sale of our best players next month?
“There’s only so much fans can take.
“We promise we are looking at all viable options this week.
“We would politely remind Dai that the January transfer window was the breaking point last time for fans. Let’s not go there again, please.
“In the words of Vinnie Jones, it’s been emotional.
“Muchas gracias por todo, Rubén.”
