FINCHAMPSTEAD Parish Council is offering people the chance to brush up on their first aid skills and learn how to operate borough defibrillators.
A free two-hour session includes incident management, assessing an unresponsive casualty (adult and child), how to put a patient into the recovery position, resuscitation, and how to use a defibrillator.
Choking bleeding, head injuries, and seizures will also be covered.
Acting quickly when someone goes into cardiac arrest is vital, and defibrillators can make the difference between life and death.
They are designed to be used by anyone without specific training, but some knowledge can be helpful.
The training event will take place at The FBC Centre, Finchampstead, on Tuesday, April 23, at 7pm.
Anyone wishing to attend, should call: 0118 908 8164, or email: [email protected]
