GOLFERS are invited to save the date for a fun day on the golf course that will raise money for young people’s charity Me2.
Players of all abilities can enjoy the fairway fundraiser, which will help young people with additional needs and disabilities to take part in mainstream activities.
The event is designed for individual players, and corporate groups wishing to use their charity days to support good causes.
Organisers say there is space for 22 teams of four players to take part.
And companies are also invited to sponsor a hole for £100, which will bear their business banners and leaflets.
Players need to gather their own teams, with seasoned players and beginners all welcome.
The event will include breakfast, a barbecue lunch and an afternoon raffle, with proceeds going to the charity.
Me2 Club works to include children and young people with additional needs and disabilities in the Wokingham and Reading Boroughs.
The group aims to tackle social isolation and loneliness of those children unable to access mainstream leisure activities, helping youngsters aged five to 19 to take part with trained volunteer ‘buddies’.
Joining sports clubs, uniformed groups and drama classes, can give them a chance to build independence and vital life and social skills.
The event to raise money for the charity will take place at Hennerton Golf Course, Wargrave on Friday, May 9.
Tickets will cost £60 per person, including refreshments, bacon rolls and a barbecue lunch.
Players will arrive at 8am for refreshments, with tee off at 9am, and lunch at 2pm followed by a raffle at 2.30pm.
Golfers are invited to save the date for now, and businesses interested in sponsoring a hole are asked to email: lucy@me2club.org.uk for more details.
