IT’S national pie week, and we’d love to see your home-made pie creations.
Throughout the nation we expect people to be tucking into, or perhaps creating, their own favourite pies to celebrate pie week (March 2 to March 8).
A traditional British staple, the pie can take many forms; with an enormous range of fillings that can be tucked inside crusty, puff, flaky, filo, sweet, or savoury pastry cases.
Whether people are fans of apple pies, vegan pies, steak and ale, chicken and mushroom, or hearty cheese and onion, there’s probably a pie for everyone.
Wokingham.Today publisher David Riley is a fan not only of eating, but of baking pies.
His creation today, a classic cheese and onion, has inspired us to discover what pies others in the borough are baking.
“Its all my own work, and made with Lancashire cheese, (obviously),” he said.
Send us a photo of your own pie creation, whether classic or creative.
Make our mouths water with your pictures.
Tempt us with a description of your favourite pie.
And tell us what it means to you.
Email your photos to: news@wokingham.today
