The date of the by-election in Shinfield has been announced.
Voters will go to the polls on Thursday, December 5, following the recent resignation of Cllr Sarah Bell for personal reasons.
The former Labour councillor topped the May 2024 election with 997 votes. Nine candidates stood that time.
Nominations will be accepted from 10am on Friday, November 1, 2024, 4pm on Friday, November 8.
Nomination papers must be hand delivered to Electoral Services in person at the Civic Offices at Shute End between 10am and 4pm, Monday to Friday. Make an appointment to deliver your papers by emailing [email protected]
A statement of persons nominated will be made at 4pm on Monday, November 11.
The count is expected to take place overnight once the polls have closed at 10pm on December 5.
