A WOKINGHAM church coffee morning raised a considerable sum for charity at the weekend.
Parishioners at Paul’s Christian Aid Coffee Morning served coffee and much more to their guests.
With brickabrack, books, games, and plants for sale, there was plenty to catch visitors’ eyes.

Teri Austen from St Paul’s Church, said: “It went brilliantly.
“We had loads of cake, great donations for the plant stall in particular, and lots of people came through the doors.
“We were absolutely delighted to make over £1,000 for Christian Aid in two hours.”

The event was organised by all three churches in the St Paul’s Parish; Woosehill Church and St. Nicholas, Embrook, and headed up by Lynne Paine from Woosehill Church.
“We were pleased to have had such a great uptake, and will definitely be repeating the event next year,” said Ms Austen.
