CITIZENS Advice Wokingham will help families take control of their energy use in the new year.
As electricity and gas bills continue to rise, the organisation is planning to help residents plan their usage with its Big Energy Saving Fortnight.
The aim is to empower individuals and families, to show them ways to save money on bills, and to help them access support during the winter months.
personalised advice and guidance on a wide range of energy-related issues will be available during two weeks in January.
With the colder months placing additional strain on household budgets, the Big Energy Saving Fortnight is a reminder to residents that support is available and that no one needs to feel overwhelmed by their energy needs.
During the Big Energy Saving Fortnight, residents and workers from the borough can:
Book an appointment with the Energy Advice Team for tailored advice.
This can be in person or over the phone, as people prefer.
Join drop-in sessions to learn practical ways to save energy at home.
Access online resources for step-by-step guidance on energy efficiency, grants, and bill support.
A dedicated Energy Advice Team will be on hand to explain tariff levels, and help clients find the most affordable and suitable energy tariffs for their needs.
And they will help people to better understand and manage their energy bills to avoid unnecessary charges.
People can also find out about financial assistance for energy-saving home improvements such as Energy Efficiency Grants for insulation and efficient heating systems.
