Thames Valley Cricket: Binfield continue flawless start with nailbiting win over Cove

EVERSLEY dropped down to seventh after they lost by eight wickets to Ickenham.

Eversley batted superbly as Olie Parsons put in a fantastic individual display by totalling 117, with Eversley finishing on 220.

But Ickenham stood up to the test put to them and dropped just two wickets on their way to surpassing the target after 40.3 overs.

Thames Valley Division 2B

BINFIELD continued their flawless start to the season by defeating Cove.

Binfield scored 202 and left it late to take victory as Cove were bowled all out just three runs short of the target as Alex Jackson (3-41) and Rob Pigden (4-21) posted strong bowling figures.

READING are up to second after they earned a convincing win over FINCHAMPSTEAD 2s.

Pavendeep Chima and Firaz Amjad both scored 60 runs, with Reading ending their 50 overs on 279.

A stunning bowling performance from Luke Beaven (6-28) saw Finch finish on 177, 102 runs short of Reading’s total.

WOKINGHAM 2s lost out by five wickets to Fleet.

D’Souza totalled 76 trunks for the Oaks, but Fleet won with five wickets to spare.

Thames Valley Division 3A

SONNING dropped down to fourth after they were overtaken by Haprsden in the table.

Sonning were set 279 to chase and batted strongly, including a score of 79 from Dean, but they fell 33 runs short after they were all out on 246 after 42.1 overs.

WHITE WALTHAM lost out after an impressive batting performance from Bagshot.

Scarborough and Molloy both totalled half centuries for White Waltham as they recorded 202.

But Bagshot batted efficiently which saw them reach the target after 27 overs with eight wickets left to take the win.

WARGRAVE 2s were beaten by 123 runs in a heavy defeat to Kidmore End.

THEALE & TILEHURST recorded their first victory of the new season with a win over Aldershot.

Thames Valley Division 4A

FINCHAMPSTEAD 3s climbed up to second despite being beaten by league leaders Falkland 2s.

Osler collected 69 runs for Finch in the second innings, but they were narrowly defeated by nine runs as they lost their final wicket after 44 overs.

WOKINGHAM 3s earned a comprehensive win over Peppard Stoke Row.

An extraordinary innings from Turner for the Oaks saw them surpass the target of 260 to win the match which saw them drop just two wickets as they collected 23 points.

Thames Valley Division 5B

Finchampstead 4s (198-4) beat Royal Ascot (197-8)

Sonning (106 all out) lost to Binfield 2s (169 all out)

Eversley 2s (195 all out) lost to Reading 2s (199-6)

Bracknell (254-5) beat Newbury (235 all out)

Thames Valley Division 6B

Sulhamstead & Ufton 2s (262-5) beat Eversley 3s (257-8)

Wokingham 4s (141-9) lost to Bradfield (169-7)

Theale & Tilehurst 2s (215-8) beat Aldershot (120 all out)

Thames Valley Division 7A

Kidmore End (204 all out) beat Hurst 2s (90 all out)

Cookham Dean 3s (191-9) lost to Wokingham 5s (215-5)

Maidenhead & Bray 3s (184 all out) lost to White Waltham (185-7)

Thames Valley Division 8A

Reading 3s (98-2) beat Thatcham Town 3s (97-8)

Binfield 3s (96 all out) lost to Cove 3s (186 all out)

Kidmore End 3s (133-6) beat Bracknell 2s (131 all out)

Sonning 3s (190-6) beat Bradfield 2s (182-9)
