IF THERE’S one thing that beer festival organisers long for it’s for the wet stuff to pour constantly.
And that’s exactly what happened on King George V Recreation Ground in Twyford on Friday and Saturday for the annual Twyford Beer Festival.
Organised by Ian Wisdom, the event is held to raise funds for Orchid, a male cancer charity.
And with record numbers coming along to enjoy two days of fun in the sunshine (and a sharp shower on the Saturday evening) it looks like the total amount raised for the charity will also be the highest ever.

Guests could try ales from local brewers, enjoy gins, wines and soft drinks and listen to live music. On Friday evening, local brewers came along to answer questions and talk about their beers.
Everyone gave them time for free.
Mr Wisdom didn’t have a final total available as we went to press, but was delighted with how it went.
“It was the best festival ever,” he said. “A huge thanks to all our volunteers who make it happen.”
