AN ADAPTATION of a book by one of the most popular children’s authors of modern times is coming to The Hexagon in Reading next month – and we have two pairs of family tickets to giveaway to lucky readers.
The Birmingham Stage Company is presenting its take on David Walliams’ Awful Auntie.
The show is at the Reading theatre from Wednesday, July 11 to Sunday, July 15 and there are eight performances during its visit to the town.
The show tells the story of Stella, who sets off to visit London with her parents, Lord and Lady Saxby.
But she has no idea her life is in danger.
Waking up three months later, only her Aunt Alberta can tell Stella what has happened.
But not everything Aunt Alberta tells her turns out to be true and Stella quickly discovers she’s in for the fight of her life against her very own awful Auntie.
The Birmingham Stage Company, has previously created the award-winning Gangsta Granny, and this is the world premiere of David Walliams’ amazing tale of frights, fights and friendship, featuring a very large owl, a very small ghost and a very awful Auntie.
And David Walliams is a fan.
