Wokingham Town Football Club is set to kick start its 150th anniversary celebrations this weekend.
The Sumas host Edgware & Kingsbury in their final home league match of the season, and they’re hoping for a bumper crowd.
The club was formed in 1875, and reverted to its original name this season after playing for a time as Wokingham & Emmbrook.
Besides its current home on Lowther Road, Emmbrook, the club has played its home games in Oxford Road, Langborough Road, Wellington Road and Finchampstead Road throughout its history.
Saturday’s match will include mascots and flag bearers from its youth section, as well as football games including penalty shoot outs, radar traps,
The club is also planning an event to celebrate its milestone on the first weekend in August when the new season is set to start.
Kick-off at Lowther Road on Saturday afternoon is at 3pm.
