A BOROUGH performing group has started working on its next show, a comedy of wartime betrayal.
Twyford Drama’s April production is Traitor at the Beeches.
Written by company member Kathy Reid, it is a sequel to her previous work, Fight Them for The Beeches, which was staged by the group in 2023.

It follows a group of mature, eccentric Second World War veterans on the hunt for a traitor within their midst.
“This is Kathy’s third production written and directed by her for Tyword Drama,” said Joanne Davis from the group.
“And it promises even more twists, turns and surprising outcomes.”
At The Beeches Manor residential home in the year 2001, residents find their comfortable, routine-driven life is under threat when Pearl, a glamorous new resident from Los Angeles, sweeps in.
Residents and staff are in shock and awe of her, but when her transatlantic invasion is also accompanied by shattering news of wartime treachery, the situation threatens the residents’ deep-rooted bonds.
Belligerent Colonel, wheeler dealer Walker, mystical Cassandra and no-nonsense Iris must apply their investigative skills to unravel the mystery of the traitor’s identity.
They also have to deal with two new troublesome housekeepers.
Traitor at The Beeches can be seen at Loddon Hall, Twyford, from Thursday to Saturday, April 30, May 1 and 2.
Performances are at 7.45pm, with tickets costing £10 and £12.
