Noel Coward’s play Blithe Spirit is the next performance to be staged by the hard-working Twyford Drama group.
Director Beth Reynolds said: “I have always loved everything about the 1930s: the architecture, interior design, costume and music.” She had wanted to direct a play which reflected this and felt Blithe Spirit perfectly encapsulated the mood and period feel she wanted to present.
“Of course, its creator Noel Coward himself was the epitome of the sardonic and urbane 1930’s gentleman. As well as being an interesting period piece, it is also funny, intriguing and beautifully written,” she added.
“This witty tale of two wives, a beleaguered husband and a delightfully eccentric spiritualist is sure to delight and amuse.”
Twyford Drama’s performance will be at Loddon Hall, Twyford, at 8 pm on Thursday May 8, Friday May 9 and Saturday May 10. Tickets and details are by visiting twyforddrama.co.uk or from the box office on 0118 328 2825.
