Hundreds of people gathered for an annual event to mark the switch on of the Christmas lights in Winnersh.
Cllr Beth Rowland, mayor of Wokingham Borough, performed the ceremony on December 2, and she was assisted by David Green, chairman of Winnersh Parish Council, and parish clerk Marcia Milsom.
After a break in the event of four years, Winnersh Parish Council wanted to bring the community together again to celebrate the beginning of the festive period.
Parish clerk Marcia Milson, said: “We are enormously grateful to our three local primary schools, Bearwood, Wheatfield and Winnersh, and to The Barberettes for taking the time to attend and entertain us with their singing.
“Our thanks also go to the stallholders who came to showcase their creations and wares, to the local churches for serving refreshments, and to 1st Winnersh Scouts for providing hot dogs.
The event culminated with a fantastic fire show from Deanna Gould.
