WOKINGHAM Borough Council has admitted that it has gone back to the drawing board in its search for a new chief executive.
The council has been without a chief executive since August last year – and it’s been more than 12 months since Andy Couldrick’s departure was announced.
Interim Chief Executive Manjeet Gill joined in September last year.
Cllr Charlotte Haitham Taylor, leader of the council, told The Wokingham Paper: “We haven’t yet appointed a new Chief Executive as we’ve been listening to our residents and are using this to shape exactly what is needed from the calibre of person taking on this role.
“It’s vital the new Chief Executive has the specialist skills and ability to deliver our residents’ and communities’ priorities. We’ve now restarted our search to find that exceptional person.”
