This week’s Bracknell and Wokingham planning roundup features progress for an eight year battle to build a home in the car park of a restaurant.

A motorcylist is bidding to use parts of a car park for training.
Chris Baker has applied to use around a third of Wick Hill Car Park on Bull Lane, Bracknell, for motorcycle training.
It would be between 8am and 4pm on weekdays and potentially weekends.
Mr Baker also wants a shipping container to be put in the top left corner of the car park, for storage purposes.
Plans have been validated by Bracknell Forest Council and a decision is yet to be made.

An eight-year battle for business owners to build a home in the car park of their restaurant is moving ahead.
Owners of Don Beni Italian Restaurant in Winkfield won planning permission in August to build the four-bedroom family home next to their premises.
Neighbours had taken an issue with the plans which they branded ‘nonsensical’ due to the loss of parking spaces for the restaurant.
Now, a legal agreement known as a section 106 has been signed between the owners and the council.
This means work can officially begin to build the home.

A shop is one step closer to opening in Wokingham town centre.
Advertisement plans for a new grocery store at 68-70 Peach Street have been approved by Wokingham Borough Council.
Called Safa Superstore, it will sell international foods, grocery, fresh food and veg.
It will also have a bakery, frozen section and a halal butchers.
It is taking over the premises of the Anytime Fitness Gym.

A nursery in Sandhurst has applied to build an extension.
Greengables Day Nursery in Owlsmoor, Sandhurst, wants to build two single storey extensions to its existing day care building.
Plans submitted to Bracknell Forest Council say land used is already hard paved and is 1,875 square metres.
The nursery currently caters for 89 children between 12 months and 5 years old.
It is ‘purpose built’ to offer a ‘spacious and comfortable’ learning environment for children and has a Silver Eco-schools award.
It also has a garden with outdoor play and is currently open from 7:30am to 6:30pm.
Plans have been validated by Bracknell Forest Council. with no decision made.
