A GARDEN centre in Wokingham has launched a new outdoor play area.
Youngsters whose families visit Squires Garden Centre on Heathlands Road will be able to enjoy playing outside.
New features intended to encourage imaginative play include a wooden jeep, a large multiplay unit with tunnel, and two towers with slide and access rope.
Parents and children together can also enjoy a large seesaw, and a new display board teaches children about local flora and fauna.
The design and construction of the facility has incorporated sustainable materials.
Robinia wood that meets sustainable forestry scheme regulations has been used in the features.
Matt Tanner, Squire’s Wokingham centre manager said: “We are delighted to now have the centre’s new play area up and running and being enjoyed.
“It’s a great addition to Squire’s Wokingham, offering something for local families with younger visitors.
“It allows children to have fun and use their imagination, while being educational at the same time.
“Squire’s is committed to sustainability and the new play area is a perfect example of how we incorporate our approach to sustainability in all we do.
“We are looking forward to families visiting and offering something for the whole family when they visit us.”
