CHILDREN at a Wokingham nursery have been helping to landscape a new housing development in Bracknell.
The youngsters, all aged three and four, joined the gardening team from Taylor Wimpey to plant sunflowers on the new Coppid View estate.
The housebuilder has a variety of green open spaces on the development and invited the green fingered children from Merrydale Nursery to help out.
Katie Beckingham, manager at Merrydale Nursery said: “We were delighted when Taylor Wimpey approached us about doing this activity. The children thoroughly enjoyed their visit to Coppid View and had an amazing time planting the sunflower seeds. We’re all excited to see them bloom throughout summer.”
Gemma Bibby, sales and marketing director at Taylor Wimpey West London, said: “We were thrilled to welcome Merrydale Nursery to our Coppid View development in Wokingham. Here at Taylor Wimpey, we’re always incredibly proud when we make a positive impact on the communities in which we build and we hope all the children had a wonderful day digging, planting and watering at the development.”
