TIME is running out to join a discussion breakfast organised by Wokingham Positive Difference (WPD).
The group brings together people from the worlds of business, local government, and the voluntary sector, to network, socialise and hear from a keynote speaker.
This month director and principal of Riversight Jonathan Bowring will share a framework and techniques for idea generation, which lies at the heart of the innovation process.
Upskilling goes beyond tools, he says —it’s about sharpening how you think.
In a rapidly shifting world, the skill of innovation is vital.
In most domains it’s no longer sufficient to simply do a good job, in the way we always have.
We face disruption from social, political, economic and technological movements; we need to adapt.
Innovation is not a luxury; it’s a core competency which we need to survive and thrive.
The event includes open networking, a buffet breakfast (bacon rolls, pastries, fresh fruit), news updates from the WPD team, local businesses, government, and community groups, and a keynote session.
It will take place at Wokingham Town Hall on Friday, May 23, at 8am.
Tickets cost £25, or £17 for members (including breakfast)
Booking is essential.
