Wokingham stopped and remembered today as the two-minute silence was marked.
Both the town mayor and his deputy led the short act of remembrance around the town hall in Market Place.
A member of Saint Sebastian Wokingham band played the Last Post from the balcony of the Town Hall and the town fell silent.
Shoppers stopped to join in the silence and even drivers paused to remember.
