A WOKINGHAM school has announced its official partnership with The Commonwealth at 75, a prestigious project commemorating the 75th anniversary of the association.
The collaboration highlights Holme Grange School’s commitment to fostering global citizenship and international understanding among its students.
Headteacher of Holme Grange School Mrs Claire Robinson, said: “As we mark the Commonwealth’s 75th anniversary, it offers a moment to reflect on its history, its evolving role, and the lessons we can draw for the future.
“The Commonwealth brings together nations from around the world in a spirit of co-operation and shared understanding.
“We are honoured to be part of this milestone, sharing our own experiences and achievements as part of this global community.”
The Commonwealth at 75 is a commemorative album that will explore the origins, history, and impact of the Commonwealth up to the present day.
Produced in partnership with the History of Parliament and publisher St James’s House, it will be researched and written by a select team of academics and award-winning authors.
Holme Grange School will be featured in the publication.
The hardback book will showcase key stories of best practice from across the Commonwealth, serving as a springboard for further debate and trade relations.
It will also offer insights into major Commonwealth institutions, initiatives, and campaigns.
The commemorative album will be distributed to over 400,000 individuals, including members of the House of Commons and the House of Lords, government agencies, and educational institutions worldwide.
