Wokingham Today reporter and photojournalist Andrew Batt has been nominated for a national Grassroots Football award.
Andrew has been photographing at grassroots football matches across Berkshire, including both men’s and women’s matches, for several years.
Known for his dedication to following Wokingham Town FC’s first-team throughout all of their matches home and away, Andrew photographs numerous football matches throughout Berkshire each week, including games in the Combined Counties, Thames Valley Premier League, Southern Region Women’s Football League, Thames Valley Women’s Football League Bracknell & District Sunday League, Reading & District Sunday League
Upon receiving the nomination, Andrew said: “Wow. Simply wow. I’m so proud and honoured to have been nominated for a National Grassroots Award. Thank you.”

The winners of the Grassroots Football Awards will be invited to an awards presentation ceremony which is held at Wembley Stadium on August 10 ahead of the FA Community Shield.
