A TODDLER group is all grown up, but that won’t stop it from having a youthful outlook.
Members of Wokingham Baptist Church’s 4321 group came together to mark its 30th birthday earlier this month.
Established in 1993 by a group of mothers from the Milton Road church, the event has continued long after their little ones have grown up.
Over the years, dedicated volunteers have ensured the group continues to offer a welcome to parents, grandparents, carers, childminders and children.
The church’s children and families worker, Lois Theobald, said: “The team prays for the families each week before the doors open and then the fun begins.
“The space at the church provides those that attend the chance to play with a wide range of toys, as well as take part in song time, messy play and enjoy much-needed refreshment, all for a small donation.
“Today, with the group as popular as ever.”
Current team leader, Sue, added: “God has been good to us for the last 30 years and we pray that will continue for many more years to come.”
The group runs from 10am to 11.30am on Tuesdays during term-time. Places should be booked via its Facebook page, from 8pm on Fridays.
