A GROUP that gives grants is getting ready to spread some festive joy through its Christmas Cheer Grant Programme.
Wokingham United Charities says it is aware of the increased demand for services for people in the borough who need financial support, and is welcoming applications from charities and groups in the run-up to the Yuletide season.
Its Christmas Cheer 2023! programme is designed for charities providing support to individuals, families and the elderly who may be in need this Christmas and may otherwise go without.
Grants are restricted to funding Christmas gifts and food hampers, up to the value of £2,000. The final deadline to receive applications is September 15.
