A WOMAN from Winnersh is due to stand trial charged with causing death by careless driving.
Rosemina Guevarra Stansbury, 60, of Cavendish Gardens, is accused of causing the death of Diane Trinder last year by driving without due care and attention.
On May 2 last year, a black Mercedes A180, driven by Ms Stansbury, collided with Mrs Trinder’s blue Vauxhall Corsa at around 10.25am on the A329 Reading Road, at the junction with Station Road.
Mrs Trinder, who was 74 and lived in Sirius Close, Woosehill, died two weeks later at the John Radcliffe Hospital.
Ms Stansbury appeared at Reading Magistrates’ Court on April 13 where she pleaded not guilty to causing death by careless or inconsiderate driving.
She will now appear for the trial at Reading Crown Court on May 16, exactly one year after Mrs Trinder’s death.
