HOUSEHOLD items requiring some TLC are set to be given a new lease of life at an upcoming community event.

The monthly Spencers Wood repair cafe returns on Sunday, September 17, with residents able to bring broken items to be fixed by the group’s able team of volunteers at Lambs Lane Primary School.

Visitors can watch and learn how their items are mended or enjoy refreshments next door in the Communi-Tea Room. A book swap will run concurrently.

The initiative’s goal is to provide both economical and environmental solutions to product waste.

The repair cafe takes place between 10am-1pm.
