Ahead of the event on July 11, the organisers of Wokingham Pride has revealed that multi award-winning Steppin Out Stars of Tomorrow has become a sponsor of the free-to-attend event.
A spokesperson for Wokingham Pride told Wokingham Today: “To put on an event like Pride is an undertaking, and we are delighted that local businesses sponsor the event.
The theatre school, whose students appear at events in Wokingham like the May Fayre, to West End shows.
CEO, Shelley Otway-Wood, said “The classes and summer drama schools we hold in Woodley and Wokingham allow children to fully express themselves.
“Sometimes, that is a hard thing for them to do whilst at school.
“It is very similar to the ethos of Wokingham Pride, being a safe space, a sanctuary where people can be themselves”.
