Lucy Zeal, the High Steward of Wokingham, was one of the first visitors to the Wokingham Poppy Appeal pop-up shop last week.
The unit at 1, Bush Walk, opposite the Town Hall, has been donated by landlords Pret for the duration of this year’s appeal.
The shop is offering a wide range of merchandise, and will be open on Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays between 10am and 4pm.
Appeal organiser David Dunham was pleased with the level of support during the first few days of this year’s appeal, and expressed his thanks to everyone who has contributed to date.
He is still looking for volunteer collectors, especially anyone who is able to assist in the town centre shop.
