AN APPEAL has been launched to find a teenager after he failed to return home from an Earley bar.

Daniel Williams, 19, is a student studying at the University of Reading and was last seen at midnight on Thursday, January 31. He had been drinking in the student union bar at the Whiteknights campus, but police said he failed to return to his student accommodation.

Thames Valley Police said in a statement that Daniel is white, 6ft tall, slim build, has short light brown hair and blue eyes.

When he was last seen he was wearing black or blue jeans, a black hooded top and black shoes. He was wearing a black T-shirt underneath with a distinctive white motif on the front.

He does not have access to a vehicle.

Investigating officer Sgt Bradley Pitt, based at Reading police station, said: “We are appealing for anyone with information about Daniel’s whereabouts to get in contact with police as we are extremely concerned for his welfare.

“It is out of character for Daniel to be missing so please report any possible sightings of him to officers as soon as possible.”

Anyone with any information about Daniel’s whereabouts is asked to call the 24-hour Thames Valley Police enquiry centre on 101, quoting the reference URN 1307 31/1.
